Mariam Steffensen
435-238-0102
Coach Mariam Steffensen started coaching at CV in 2010 as an assistant coach then later as head coach in 2013.
She ran Cross Country and Track throughout high school under the direction of Coach Bob Corry at Cedar High School. She competed for two and a half years in college at SUU under the direction of Coach Eric Houle. With both programs, Mariam was one of the forerunners by helping build the teams that were once very small to the very strong competitive programs that are now in place. She hung up her competitive running shoes to start a family with husband Mackay. They both graduated from SUU then moved to Bryan, TX where Mackay earned his doctorate and later moved to England for post-doctorate work. After 11 years of school and five kids, The Steffensens moved home to Cedar City, UT where all five children will have gone to Canyon View High School and competed in track and XC.
Mariam loves to be with the XC team on summer mornings and describes it as "the best way to start the day!"
