Information on how we "run"

There is an attendance book that hangs out with the mileage binders. If you are going to miss practice or more importantly a meet, you need to write it in the book.  

Our team according to register my athlete has 59 athletes. This is borderline to needing two buses going to meets. If you do not show up and others decide they can not attend the meets, it puts the coaches in a predicament of only needing one bus and often it is too late to make other arrangements with the bus schedules.   

We are also charged per runner for some meets. If you do not show up and did not let the coaches know or sign the attendance book about being gone we have already paid for you to go.  

Please sign the attendance book a week or more before the meets if you will not be attending.  

We are an all-inclusive team and want everyone to participate!

Travel Policy: All athletes must ride the bus to the meets with the team. If an athlete wants to ride home with their parent they must be signed out by that parent/guardian. This is a district policy and is pretty rigid. You can get special permission to be signed out by someone other than a parent but this is usually in cases of emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances of your family. 

Athletes need to attend all of their classes on the day of a meet.  If they are already excused from class for another school activity that day then they are ok to compete, but talk with the coaches about it beforehand. Also, talk to the coaches if you need to miss a class on the competition day so we can work it out with the Athletic Director.
